At Your Conveyancer we are continually seeking to improve the quality of the service we provide to our clients and we are conscious that the quality of our service is directly related to the extent of our investment in quality management systems and processes and most important of all in our people.

As a result of this, we have opened up our internal quality management systems and processes and our investment in our people to external scrutiny and audit with a view to seeking formal accreditation in these areas.



Lexcel is the Law Society’s legal practice quality mark for excellence in legal practice management and excellence in client care.

To gain and retain Lexcel accreditation, a firm must undergo a rigorous initial, then annual, application and assessment process. Our clients can be assured that the way we manage our business has their interests at heart and that we run efficiently. Being Lexcel accredited demonstrates our commitment to client care and best practice.

Your Conveyancer achieved Lexcel accreditation in March 2014 and we are one of only three legal firms in Scotland to hold this prestigious standard.




FSQS is a supplier qualification system for the financial sector. 
As the regulated environment becomes more complex, FSQS provides a standard and simple mechanism for collecting and managing supplier compliance assurance information across the sector.

FSQS is a common register of standardised, validated, structured and comprehensive vendor/third party information.  A risk management tool that objectively assesses potential vendor risks, proportionally to products and services being provided and across areas of compliance.  An efficient and effective means for third parties to provide their information to multiple banks and insurance clients.

FSQS helps introduce responsible business practices, through due diligence and collaborative with multiple financial institutions within a regulated sector.

ISO 9001

ISO 9001

ISO 9001 is the international Quality Management Service standard that provides a set of standardised requirements for a quality management system regardless of an organisation's size or what it does.

Without satisfied customers an organisation is in danger. To keep customers satisfied, an organisation needs to meet their customers' requirements. The ISO 9001 standard provides a tried and trusted framework for taking a systematic approach to managing an organisation's systems and processes so that they consistently turn out a service or product that satisfies customers' expectations.

Your Conveyancer achieved ISO 9001 accreditation in June 2008 and is one of very few legal practices in the UK to have met this internationally recognised standard.


ISO 27001

ISO 27001

ISO 27001 is the auditable internationally recognised standard which defines the requirements for an organisation's Information Security Management System (ISMS).

Like all solicitors, Your Conveyancer holds a great deal of extremely sensitive client data which is constantly open to threats from various sources such as:

  • Faulty hardware, buggy software or computer viruses
  • Fire or flood which can destroy the computers that hold the information
  • Hackers or other unscrupulous parties who can steal information

As many high profile cases have shown, loss of information can have potentially disastrous consequences for businesses and for their clients.

The ISO 27001 standard is designed to ensure that businesses have the tools to ensure the availability, integrity and confidentiality of the information that is vital to them and to their clients.

Your Conveyancer is delighted to have achieved our ISO 27001 certification in September 2010 after a certification period of just 6 months - the average is 18 to 24 months.

Achieving this standard demonstrates to our clients that, at Your Conveyancer, we take information security extremely seriously and take great steps to deliver our services to our clients professionally and securely.

We believe that we are the only legal practice in Scotland to have achieved all three of these exacting ISO quality standards. By adopting these standards we have demonstrated our commitment to delivering a high quality, secure and customer focused service to our clients.
