Our Services - YC Home Reports™

Since 1st December 2008, most houses marketed for sale in Scotland need a Home Report. The Home Report will be made available on request to prospective buyers.

The Home Report comprises of three documents:

  • The Single Survey is prepared by a Chartered Surveyor and contains detailed information on the condition of the property, a valuation and an accessibility audit for people with particular needs
  • The Energy Report is prepared by a Chartered Surveyor and contains an assessment of the energy efficiency of the property and it’s environmental impact. It also recommends ways to improve the energy efficiency of the property.
  • The Property Questionnaire is completed by the seller and contains additional information about the property, such as Council tax banding, parking arrangements, factoring and property alterations.
